逆瀬川健治　Kenji Sakasegawa

1956年　東京生れ 　守護神：大日如来
幼少時よりギターを学び、学生時代に、フォークグループ
ロックバンド,ブルースバンドなどで、ギターを担当。
ブラスバンドでトランペット担当（中学生時代）
Born in Tokyo in 1956. Started learning the guitar from an early age and in his school years participated in folk groups, rock bands, blues bands, etc. as a guitar player. He also played the trumpet in a brass band during junior high school.

1977年　インド、ネパールの旅でタブラに遭遇。
即興音楽の活動をしていた「ヒカシュー」に参加。
ライブ活動、映像の音楽制作でいろいろな楽器を独自の奏法で演奏。
In 1977 during a trip to India and Nepal chance led to his meeting with the tabla . He started participating in an improvisational music group,  playing at lives, experimenting with visuals and the music of various instruments with a unique individual approach.

1978年　インドのカルカッタで、タブラの巨匠、
パンディット・マハプルシュ　ミシュラ師に師事。
滞在中、たくさんの音楽家との交流により、
いろいろな音楽に接する（古典音楽、寺院音楽、バウル・・・）
北インド古典音楽のターラ理論（リズム理論）の基礎を学ぶ。
In 1978 he became a pupil of the tabla master Pandit Mahapurush Misra in Calcutta, India. During his stay there he was exposed to various styles (classic, devotional, etc..) during the creative exchange with many musicians. He learned the basics of tala (music theory) of North Indian classic music.

1981年　帰国後、北インド古典音楽をはじめ、
いろいろなジャンルの音楽家、舞踊家、アーティストとの
共演を続行中。
Since coming back to Japan in 1981, he has been collaborating in performances with musicians, dancers and artists from the North Indian classic music tradition and many other genres.

2001年　初めてのリーダーアルバム「に ぎみたま」を 発表。
In 2001 he announced his first CD album “Nigimitama"

タ ブラ奏者 として、1981年より、北インド古典音楽をはじめ、ジャンルを超えた活動を展開し、
日本各地、インド、台湾、香港にて、国内外の音楽家と共演。
レコード、CD、TVのCM音楽、ラジオ（NHK, FM東京etc.）での演奏、
音楽大学、カルチャースクールでの講演、後進の指導も行う。
