There are only a few DJs in Japan who have been playing trance longer than DJ Richie, who came to Tokyo with the first wave of DJs from London at the beginning of the 90s. His technical mastery of mixing techniques is second to none, and he brings an upbeat rhythmic sense to his playing. He also spent many years as an ambient and downtempo DJ, which gave full play to his melodic and harmonic sensibility.
